The first known use of inoculations dates all the way back to ancient China; when smallpox was the leading cause of death (The Anti-vaccination Movement). What would happen was that the doctors would take a small strain of the virus and inject it into your blood stream, and if you were fortunate enough to survive, you would be immune to small pox (The Anti-Vaccination Movement). Paris was the first City to ban all vaccinations/ inoculations ( The Anti-vaccination Movement). People believe that getting a vaccination is an issue of free choice, yet in reality it is actually an issue of public health and safety. Just because one person feels like they deserve to make a choice that can endanger and take away another persons choice, by not vaccinating themselves or their children should be against the law. As a society we must come together and make sure that we keep the future generations of our world population protected. Education is key to making sure that the formerly eradicated diseases like "polio, hepatitis A and B, the influenza, the measles, and whooping cough" (Diseases You Almost Forgot About (Thanks to Vaccines), stay eradicated.
